crystal maker - When speaking of crystal, Baccarat comes first to one's
mind.
The glorious history
started in 1764 when received permission by King Louis XV to establish
a glassworks in the village of Baccarat located in Lorraine, 400km east
from Paris.
In 1817 the first
crystal oven went into operation and in 1823 Baccarat received a gold
prize for the high degree of clearness and the delicate cut at the Paris
exhibition.
Since then, Baccarat has been used habitually by King Louis ⅩⅧ
of France as well as other royalty and the aristocracy in the world.

Parme
Parme
was one of the typical patterns in France which was made a design
of imaginary birds living in paradise.
Originally the series was manufactured for the president's hunting
lodge in Rambauillet.
In addition to the oriental mysterious taste, the cutting patterns
at the bottom produces beautiful lines of refraction of light.

Backstamp
 There
is a round backstamp at the center of the bottom of each glass, and
an engraved mark, 'Baccarat' near the edge.
Different engraving techniques are used for each stamp.
A round backstamp is designed to be placed in the center so that we
can see it when looking the glass from directly above.
